TGI Helps to Raise $136,000 for the PBSC Foundation
Posted June 2015
The Palm Beach State College PBSC Foundation raised $136,000 for student scholarships from its recent annual Golf Classic. TGI was proud to sponsor such an exceptional event.
The tournament, the Foundation’s premier fundraising event, benefits the Foundation’s STEAM initiative to impact the projected shortage of local, skilled professionals in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) fields.
The Classic took place for the third year on the Mirasol Country Club’s Sunset Course, designed by golf legends Tom Fazio and Arthur Hills.
A helicopter drop contest began the on-course celebration, and contests were featured during tournament play, including hole-in-one competitions. Prizes were also awarded for the longest drive, straightest drive and closest to the pin. The May 1 Golf Classic ended with a cocktail reception, award ceremony and prizes. The event drew 140 players, the highest number to date.
